Missing In Action

I was not able to be in class last week do to the fact that my beautiful daughter was asked to model for a huge photography convention. I know that I missed so much and I loved that I could learn and see what was going on through all of the blogs. From last week I also learned that little children can be very entertaining and that even if we are not in a classroom setting there is always things to learn about. We got to see bridges and landmarks that Annabelle was able to ask questions about. She learned a lot about trains and how to work with other adults when it comes to taking direction. I was impressed that she was able to learn so much when we were not there to do so. She helped me see that children can be interested in many things even when they have not even thought about it. She asked questions about things I would have never mentioned. It showed me that even if it is not something I think students might be interested in to allow them to see things that are different. They might even teach you something!

  1. Annabelle is so beautiful! Totally worth missing class!!!!!
Whenever we taking the kids to the zoo, museums, the Arch, etc... they learn so much stuff that they would not learn from a classroom for day care. It is so great for kids to get out and experience life and different places.

  2. Looks like you and your family had an awesome experience! I'm glad the learning didn't stop even though she was away from school. I think kids like to learn in alternative ways. In 7th grade, our whole grade level took a trip downtown to explore and learn for a day. It was a great experience and it was awesome incorporating things we learned about our city into our school learning over the following few weeks.
